Kellen Loves the Hospital!

Well, we have had an eventful August so far. The first week of August, Cam left town to Phoenix to do a road show. He left on Thursday and all was good. Friday also was fine back at home. Then Saturday hit and all the good turned to bad. Amy woke up and checked on Kellen early in the morning. It was about 5:00 am when she called Cam, which it was 4:00 am AZ time. Amy was a little frantic as you could imagine becuase Kellen was having one of his breathing attacks. This is where he is retracting (his torso) so bad that it's hard for him to breath. Amy didn't have very many options since all of the Christensen's were heading up to Idaho for a baptism. She called all that she knew but couldn't get a hold of anybody. Finally she knocked on our neighbors door and had her come over to stay with Kason if he woke up until Jackie could get there. (Good thing Kason didn't wake up to our neighbor or he probably would have freaked out.) From there, Amy took off to AF Hospital and Kellen was admitted. It was almost the same thing that we have gone through in the past with both Kel and Kas, but this time Kel had pneumonia. The biggest problem that Kel had was that his heart rate was above 200. They had to get that down before any treatments were to take place. So there's Amy without a husband for 3 and a half days. Luckily there was family around later that day. Thank you Wes for Amy's lunch (we are so glad you can drive now), D for all his visits, Jackie for taking care of Kason and picking up Cam, everyone else for the concern and visits. Most of all, a huge thanks to Kent and Mel for their visits and late night driving of Amy around to take care of the boys. Things are good now. Kel is fine for the time being. We just say, until next time. We are pros at the whole hospital thing, but it is always hard to see your kids sick.
